Centre researchers have made a number of notable contributions

Centre researchers have made a number of notable contributions to debates within International Relations and international law over the past year, as well as attracted significant funding for their research and outreach.

Kerstin Carlson has recently been awarded approximately DKK 6 million by the Danish Council for Independent Research (DFF) for a comparative research project on the presumption of innocence in terrorism cases. 

Line Engbo Gissel has received funding from the VELUX Foundation as part of a new national initiative to strengthen legal competencies for sustainability. Together with colleagues from the law faculties at the University of Copenhagen, SDU, AAU, AU, and CBS, she will contribute to this five-year project entitled JURiB (Juridiske Kompetencer inden for B?redygtighed) – Legal Competences for Sustainability. The project has received a total grant of DKK 25 million.

 

Louise Wuiff Moe has published two pieces in International Affairs.

Karen L?nne Ring’s research was cited in a case before the International Criminal Court. The case was ICC-02/04-01/05-527, 'Kony Defence Response to “Victims’ Concerns on the Document Containing the Charges” and the Prosecution Response thereto, and to the Application for recognition of the status of victims in the Kony case’, 25 September 2024.

 

Bj?rn Thomassen has published a book on Italian democracy with Oxford University Press.
